Metropolis - New York City - 1979 - 1984

Metropolis was built from stone, steel, and glass, rising from the earth like a series of massive monoliths.

I became fascinated by how the light shifted throughout the day, casting reflections, creating shadows, and revealing graphic angles. Slowly, I began to notice not just what was in front of me, but what was above. The light moved across the buildings like a dancer, graceful and ever-changing.

The images in this series were captured on film over several years, from 1979 to 1984.
